Swans are white, but are they really ?

Question Mark ring , Topshop, £5

My bank balance hates when I set foot in Topshop.

Got a ballot paper through to vote on the plans for Aberdeen's Union Terrace Gardens and I really cannot decided. A friend was telling me everyone she knew thought the new regeneration plan was amazing because it will bring money to the city however I am unsure how exactly it will make the return of £1.32 every year for ever £1 spent. I have always been a supporter of I <3 UTG  as the gardens are lovely places when it is sunny but the number of days where it is actually warm enough to chill out in the park are few and far between so I can see why they are looking to regenerate it although I am highly sceptical that the 140million needed will materialise in full.

On the left are the current gardens and on the right is an artists impression of the winning design for the new gardens. For a city that has alot of historic buildings I do feel the futuristic design will potentially look like an eyesore.

Lomo

Often when I crack out my beloved Lomography Diana F+ camera it raises a few eyebrows. My nine year old cousin is adamant it's a toy as he finds film cameras incomprehensible, blows his wee mind. I enjoy taking a break from digital cameras and going back the unreliability of film. There is no deleting and retaking the picture with Diana, and there is most certainly no Instagram!

Let There be Light

Whats the best way to motivate your self to try something new ?

Procrastionating instead of revising. Works everytime , so today we played with light

we are cool are we not ?

First time I've tried this with my camera (Canon 600d) just playing around, I've seen some extremly cool light photographs though, would love to try something more complex out. Living quite near the beach I think the sea would be an excellent place for some light fun but I will be waiting till the weather warms up significantly.

Ringmaster tache

Got this beauty today, I am a pendant necklace fiend !

However even better than the necklace itself is the name of it. Looking at the receipt I saw it's called "Ringmaster Tache" this amuses me a great deal.

I wanted to see if it was named this on the Accessorize website however it is new season stock it has not launched online yet.

Hipstery

Bizarre concept, not sure how they do but European Hipstery really do deliver. They sell t-shirts however you can't choose or see the t-shirt you purchase. Instead their "t-shirt scientists" choose it for you.

To do this you are asked a serious of questions. Gender, size and colours you do not want to receive are fairly straight forward questions however the following five questions I can't say how they help choose you the correct t-shirt but it must work because I liked mine.

Genuine questions you may be asked:
  1. We are going to war pick your weapon- Raygun, Pencil, Free hugs or democracy.
  2. You have the ability to body swap choose one- Pablo Picasso, The Macho Man , Angela Merkel or Charles Bukowski.
  3. You are crowned king for a day, who do you outlaw first?
Not going to post a picture of the T-shirt I received as I feel that detracts from the "mystery" the brand are trying to create. They claim to source their t-shirts from unique brands and that you won't find them anywhere else as they are rare and of the finest cotton. Whether this is true or I couldn't say. The t-shirt did feel high quality. there was also a very old photograph of some children playing, complete mystery as to who they are. A strange but interesting extra touch.

Really in my opinion it is just a bit of fun, I can't see it becoming a common business venture. Hipstery are definitely unique and they know how to successfully appeal to the indie customer looking to diverge from the mainstream.
enclosed flyer, "9 out of 10 milk drinkers agree 'the Hiptery takes you out of the ugly'"
Even the emails of order confirmation and dispatch are weird and humorous, quoting Shipping times as rough as they are "entirely at the whim of the postal gods".

Everything but the Kitchen Sink

I most definitely carry around too much stuff everyday and thought it would be fun to empty it all out and see whats actually in my bag.

This is currently my most frequently used bag. Purchased from Accessorize in August however it is still part of their current stock.

Inside we have;

Purse, again from Accessorize

Umbrella

Vaseline and Illamasqua lip gloss

Asthma Inhaler

Pencil case

Nail Varnish
China Glaze- Purple neon, and Topshop- matte topcoat
Loyalty Rules! by Frederick Reichheld/ The Man who Mistook his Wife for a Hat by Oliver Sacks

Ipod, half broken earphones and phone. Yes I do often feel like the only person without a Blackberry or Iphone. Doesn't overly bother me.

Pendrive, awful moment when I thought I lost it, all my Uni work is on here so it doesn't leave my sight now.

My manager gave me a candle. not a clue why, my bag now smells like cinnamon.

Notebook
from Paperblanks
I am naturally an awfully nosey person so I love reading articles in where they show or tell your what is in someone elses bag.
